Violent threat wins workers payout - "A French construction equipment plant owned by US-based Oshkosh Corporation has agreed to boost severance packages for laid-off workers who threatened to blow up machinery, employees say.

6 Months to Live - NOT!

Now this totally sucks and is an excellent reason for getting 2nd and even 3rd opinions from terminal or questionable diagnosis. I feel for this guy and his family...who wouldn't prepare for death and splurge to enjoy what little time they have...then be told, woops, just kidding or sorry, we made a mistake!

The Sinking of America via Socialism

Obama plans to repeal the Bush tax cuts and take the income tax rate to near 40 percent. Combined state and local income tax rates can run to 10 percent. For the self-employed, payroll taxes add up to 15.2 percent on the first $106,800 for all wages of all workers. Medicare takes 2.9 percent of all wages above that. Then there are the state sales taxes that can run to 8 percent, property taxes, gas taxes, excise taxes and "sin taxes" on booze, cigarettes and, soon, hot dogs and soft drinks.

Comes now national health insurance from Nancy Pelosi's House. A surtax that runs to 5.4 percent of all earnings of the top 1 percent of Americans, who already pay 40 percent of all federal income taxes, has been sent to the Senate. Included also is an 8 percent tax on the entire payroll of small businesses that fail to provide health insurance for employees.

The D.C.-based Tax Foundation says New Yorkers could face a combined income tax rate of near 60 percent.

In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson called George III a tyrant for having "erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance."

What did George III do with his Stamp Act, Townshend Acts or tea tax to compare with what is being done to this generation of Americans by their own government?

While the hardest-working and most productive are bled, a third of all wage-earners pay no U.S. income tax, and Obama plans to free almost half of all wage-earners of all income taxes. Yet, tens of millions get Medicaid, rent supplements, free education, food stamps, welfare and an annual check from Uncle Sam called an Earned Income Tax Credit, though they never paid a nickel in income taxes..." - Source

Legalize Personal Drug Use to help both the USA and Mexico

I know, I know, I hear all the arguments about all these drug addicts now set loose on the populace...but if its legal and affordable, its up to people how they want to run their lives, not the government.

Prisons would be emptied out from idiotic sentences for small personal use quantities, tax revenues from legal sales would do wonders for the economy, gun sales would go down for both the USA and Mexico and the drug war would be OVER when people start acting like adults instead of allowing control of our lives through a federal nanny government.

9/11 and Norad, WTF happened?

I happened on this article and it made me wonder why they weren't brought to task for dropping the ball as PART OF THEIR FRIGGIN JOB to watch over our SKIES!

FUCK THEM! If the cops think they can cheat with cameras and video for speed traps, then we have every right for counter-surveillance to know and do something about it, that includes warning our fellow CITIZENS.

Original Moon tapes Erased, how convenient!

Come ON...the amazing things you can do with video these days make it a walk in the park to put whatever they want on the new tapes, especially even if remastered digitally. Wonder how much Spielberg and Pixar got to help NASA do this?

With the originals, it would have been hard to hide imperfections easily discovered with modern technology to show how much of the lunar landings and space program were faked to build national prize as the first there.

"The original recordings of the first humans landing on the moon 40 years ago were erased and re-used, but newly restored copies of the original broadcast look even better, NASA officials said on Thursday.

NASA released the first glimpses of a complete digital make-over of the original landing footage that clarifies the blurry and grainy images of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walking on the surface of the moon.

NASA admitted in 2006 that no one could find the original video recordings of the July 20, 1969, landing.

The bad news is they were part of a batch of 200,000 tapes that were degaussed

-- magnetically erased -- and re-used to save money.

"The goal was live TV," Nafzger told a news conference.

"We should have had a historian running around saying 'I don't care if you are ever going to use them -- we are going to keep them'," he said.

They found good copies in the archives of CBS news and some recordings called kinescopes found in film vaults at Johnson Space Centre.

Nafzger does not worry that using a Hollywood-based company might fuel the fire of conspiracy theorists who believe the entire lunar program that landed people on the moon six times between 1969 and 1972 was staged on a movie set or secret military base.

"This company is restoring historic video. It mattered not to me where the company was from," Nafzger said.

"The conspiracy theorists are going to believe what they are going to believe," added Lowry Digital Chief Operating Officer Mike Inchalik." - Source

Russian spacecraft landed on moon hours before Americans - "A previously unheard recording of a Russian spacecraft attempting to beat NASA's Apollo 11 in 1969's race to the moon has been released.

The recordings from Jodrell's Lovell radio telescope, which were hidden in archives until researchers found them, show the Russian craft orbited the Moon and crash-landed onto its surface at 15:50 on July 21 - just a few hours before the Americans lifted.

In the newly released recordings, which were made over three days, Sir Bernard, the founder of Jodrell Bank, can be heard narrating events with conversation from the Apollo 11 astronauts in the background.

Sir Bernard notes a change in the orbit of Luna 15 to take it closer to the US landing site and later reports a rumour from a "well-informed source in Moscow" that the craft is about to land. People in Jodrell's control room can then be heard shouting "it's landing" and "it's going down much too fast" as they track Luna 15's final moments before it crashes. A voice is later heard saying: "I say, this has really been drama of the highest order." -

Man Caught Faking Heart Attacks

Another crook and cheater caught in the act;

"A 52-year-old Milwaukee-area man has been accused of faking heart attacks to avoid paying restaurant bills and cab fares.

Police say the Waukesha man took a cab to a mall Monday and pretended to have a heart attack. The cab driver left unpaid. Authorities say the man then ran up a $23 bill when he had a steak dinner at Applebee’s. He again pretended to have a heart attack.

This time the fire department took him to a hospital. A doctor there recognized the man as having pulled the same stunt in the past few weeks.

He was charged Thursday with defrauding a restaurant as a habitual criminal. He could get up to nine months in prison and a $10,000 fine."

Public Mischief

A few years back there was a news report of mischievous teenagers roaming the streets of London looking for older people.

They would remove their shirts and superglue them high up the walls of buildings. Saw another use for superglue mischief in this article;

"A trip to the little boys room ended in disaster after a man became super-glued to a public toilet. A practical joke left the 35-year-old man helpless and unable to remove himself from the loo.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and did their best to un-stick the man, but even their efforts were not enough to set him free.

The toilet was then removed from the public cubicle near Dudley in the West Midlands, with the man still attached.

A paramedic said: “The man was using the facilities when he became stuck on the seat. It appears as though someone had left glue on it.”

Once at the hospital, doctors loosened the grip and freed the man using special chemicals, while still inside the ambulance. The flustered man was not injured but highly embarrassed after the incident."

Would be great to catch the perpetrator(s) and subject them to the same treatment to see if its so funny to them.
