Euthanasia should be totally optional

It's your body, your life, if you choose to kill yourself by overdoing drugs, drinking, sex, whatever or are so sick with no hope of recovery, then its not a question of rights since its YOUR BODY to do with as you please.

I've had several friends die in terrible agony, begging to be taken off life support so they can move on, but no, they were doped up and kept alive in their bedridden horror until their body just gives out.

I used have an old friend named Satch Landrum...in his late 60s he was falling apart physically and had to have a knee and hip operation just to get around. He often said he thought people should just be put to sleep at 65 as they were pretty much useless after that. I didn't agree, but I do agree it should be an option if you feel that way. That means asking for assistance if you can't do it yourself.

To my view, if you are just taking up space and not doing anything with your life, then you should get the heck out of it, quit wasting resources without benefitting yourself by learning or doing things or helping others, and just fade on out.

Why do people who are horribly crippled or so old and feeble that they can't do anything, want to live for decades more? What is the point if you can't enjoy it.

Keep in mind, its not about QUANTITY, but QUALITY that counts.

For myself, when I start falling to pieces or become so crippled or infirm that I am a drain on society, you can bet your butt I'll take care of my own incapacity. Probabely with something like this the Redneck Kevorkian.

Granted there are many other ways to take ones life and many say you will probably change your mind when you reach that point, but I don't think so if I know there is no hope of improvement for my condition, whatever it might be. So if I am found dead one day, after some illness or accident, don't look for any murderer or start any bullshit conspiracy story...I did it myself.

Now check this out;

"KeelyNetA 66-year-old woman with terminal cancer has become the first person to die under Washington state's new assisted suicide law, an advocacy group said Friday. Linda Fleming, of Sequim, died Thursday night after taking drugs prescribed under the "Death with Dignity" law that took effect in March, said Compassion & Choices of Washington.

Officials with the advocacy group said Fleming, who was diagnosed last month with advanced pancreatic cancer, died at home with her family, her dog and her physician at her bedside. "The pain became unbearable, and it was only going to get worse,"

Fleming said in a statement released by the organization. A physician prescribed the medication, but under the law, patients must administer the drugs themselves. Oregon is the only other state that allows this. Not everyone agrees that people should be able to die with dignity, though: Chris Carlson, who campaigned against the new law with the Coalition Against Assisted Suicide, called the death unfortunate. "Any premature death is a sad occasion and it diminishes us all," he said. (props to j-walkblog.com)" - Source

Will this force a show of the Real Document?

What happens to the government if it turns out there isn't a verifiable birth certificate provided by the Obama camp?

Everything he has tried to do (done damn little so far) will be invalidated, all his appointments and actions as president as well as the actions of those he appointed.

Will he go to jail for knowingly misrepresenting himself as a natural US citizen?

And what about his cronies???

BTW, why haven't Bush and his criminal cohorts been brought to court to punish them for all the laws they broke. You swear an oath of office, to uphold the constitution and laws of the country, then you intentionally break them...that is simply CRIMINAL.

What a friggin MESS!!!

KeelyNet"A national fund-raising campaign to erect billboards around the country questioning Barack Obama's eligibility for office was an instant hit with WND readers in its first 24 hours, said Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of the company and the man who came up with the idea. "One thing I can say for certain after Day 1 of this campaign - billboards will soon be going up around the country," said Farah... The idea behind the billboard campaign is to make sure Obama cannot avoid this question any longer. He must be asked to produce it at every turn, Farah says. Billboard space is currently being negotiated in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York-New Jersey, Des Moines, Seattle and other metro areas." - Source

Artificial Sperm as a Deterrent

Saw this on a spoof page but it looks like a great idea to me. I often see people checking seats before they sit down in public places, you never know if some dickwad hasn't spit, jacked or spilled something there by accident or on purpose.

Hopefully, if you are a decent person and use this idea, you'll wipe it up before you leave since you got the isolation you wanted.

KeelyNet"Delbert L. Phipps has invented many practical joke items during the past 20 years of his career as a novelty and gag item inventor, but his latest creation is sure to open eyes and foster universal disgust around the globe. 'I had an inspiration for my newest invention when I was sitting on a bus and noticed a great big fat slob walking toward me. I was sitting next to one of the few open seats left and hoped fatso wouldn't sit next to me!" Within months Phipps invention was born...'Fe-Fi-Faux-Fuc in a Tube!' The artificial sperm looks exactly like the real thing and can be applied quickly and discreetly too! "I wear it on my face, chin, and cover my shirt front with it when I want to cut ahead in line. In fact, I receive faster service too...Most service people want to get rid of me pronto!" Claims Phipps. "Now, if I see a fatso walking down the isle, I squirt a dab of 'Faux-Fuc' on the seat next to me and no one ever takes that seat.!" - Source

The Stupidest Fix ever told to me

For some 25 years, I was in charge of Technical Support for 3 companies. During that time, I and my techs were responsible for keeping everything running. Installing, repairing and maintaining all equipment and machinery to keep production online.

After that, I worked for a couple of years doing technical phone support where I never met so many stupid callers. They wouldn't listen and preferred to rail against our product. I would tell them just listen, do as I tell you and your problem will be resolved. No telling how many times I heard people say they were university professors or professional engineers who had worked with and built computers for 10-30 years, and yet these assholes called ME to help them.

But they didn't want to listen to any advice so WTF call? Finally they would listen and when they did as I instructed them, the device worked as it was supposed to, they would slam the phone down rather than admitting their call fixed the machine and god forbid they would ever thank me.

Not everyone was like that, but I'd estimate 30% at least...so give customer service agents a break, especially when its a technical issue....most of them really are just trying to help you solve your problem.

The company I worked for farmed out their techs to work on various accounts for big companies. You think you are talking to one of their people but the fact is they are outsourced but at least it was in the USA.

So during my time there, I worked on 3 different accounts....the one where I got this stupidest fix call was for smart UPS (uninterruptible power supplies) that used software to control a UPS.

Some tech working for a small company had installed our smart UPS's on about 15 of their machines...but he didn't follow the directions so every single one of the UPS's had a red error light that was telling you there was a problem with the UPS.

Now he called for another problem and we resolved that but I asked him to describe which LEDs were on and thats when I found the red LED error condition. Now I'm on the phone with this guy and tell him that red LED must be off or the purpose of the UPS would be negated entirely.

After maybe 3 minutes trying to get him to reinstall it under my direction, I hear a banging sound and he has taken the cover off the UPS...I ask him what he was doing and he said he had fixed the problem...???

I ask him what he did to resolve it without reinstalling and he said he just CLIPPED THE WIRES to the LED! I told him that fixed nothing and the first time they had electrical problems or failure, this UPS would not kick in to protect the computer.

The guy is clearly a cocky little SOB so tells me thanks for the help, now he is going to go clip the wires on all the other UPSs because he didn't want to have to reinstall the software, then he hangs up.

I tell my supervisor and make note of this in the call log in case they do call back when everything fails...but I never forgot how lazy and stupid this guy was...

Car company sloppiness catching up to them

The car companies have screwed around for many decades now dragging their feet on developing fuel efficient cars and trucks. So it's finally caught up with them thanks to competition from other countries.

But I think we all suspect the government and oil companies have miraculous technologies that are locked away as national security threats that could hurt the oil industry.

Wouldn't it be great if the politicos forced the release of these hidden technologies, at least phasing them in over time so as not to disrupt existing systems...give them time to integrate or shift to the new technologies?

"Cars with internal combustion engines are, on average, 50 per cent more fuel-efficient than those built three decades ago. Yet the amount of gasoline they consume per kilometre has changed little. Despite increased use of lighter materials, the average car is roughly 270 kilograms heavier than in 1981.

It leaps from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 9.5 seconds instead of 14. It comes equipped with air conditioning, air bags and electric motors to move windows, seats, mirrors and tailgates.

If the efficiency improvements had all gone into boosting fuel economy, the average American vehicle would already get 6.2 litres per 100 kilometres (38 miles per U.S. gallon). At that rate, there would be no reason for carmakers to fret about achieving the new U.S. standards – 7.8 litres by 2011 and 6.7 by 2020.

They'd match the Chinese fuel-economy regulation and be close to Europe's and Japan's. Instead, the average remains stuck at 8.5 litres per 100 kilometres, only marginally better than 1981. And almost all that modest gain came during the 1980s." - Source

Warrantless GPS Tracking Is Legal, Says WI Court

I detest surveillance to track people but it seems to be a part of modern life. Like many, I use cameras and motion detection software to protect my home. But this GPS tracking seems to be way too invasive. But it invites jammers and methods to kill or redirect the signals. Interesting how cellphone signal killers are more and more available.

"A Wisconsin appeals court ruled Thursday that police can attach GPS trackers to cars to secretly track anybody's movements without obtaining search warrants. As the law currently stands, the court said police can mount GPS on cars to track people without violating their constitutional rights — even if the drivers aren't suspects. Officers do not need to get warrants beforehand because GPS tracking does not involve a search or a seizure, wrote Madison Judge Paul Lundsten." - Source

Sex during 'that time of the month'

Most guys are totally grossed out to find blood on their weewee after sex, so this site offers an interesting solution...

KeelyNetThe INSTEAD® Softcup® is made entirely of hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-irritating, non-absorbent materials that have been used for more than 20 years in the health care profession. Cleared by the FDA, it has undergone extensive laboratory and human clinical testing. And, the INSTEAD® Softcup® has NO LATEX, which is good news for all women out there with latex sensitivities!

It holds at least twice as much menstrual fluid as a tampon, allowing some women to go at least twice as long between changes on heavy flow days. On a light day, most women find they can wear one INSTEAD® Softcup® the entire day without changing or risk of leakage. Athletes rave about how the INSTEAD® Softcup® carries them through a long marathon or triathlon. Travelers don't leave home without it!

Wearing INSTEAD® Softcup® during your period, you and your partner can enjoy "clean sex"and he won't even feel it's there! (Note: the INSTEAD® Softcup® is NOT a contraceptive!)

Because INSTEAD® Softcup® holds menstrual fluid entirely internally, it can help eliminate dampness and reduce odor caused when even small amounts of menstrual fluid leak and are exposed to air, which even tampons can't avoid.

Sorry for the delay

Between a combination of too many things going on in my life and a trip to Texas for almost 2 weeks, haven't had a chance to update here, so catching up.
